CA to feature at SIG colloquium
The Pragmatics SIG colloquium at this year's JALT national conference in Nara will focus on five studies which apply Conversation Analysis to sequences of naturally occurring non-native and bilingual talk.
Website Opens
Welcome to the new Pragmatics SIG website. Our online presence has been long due for an update and we are grateful for the talents and persistence of our recently appointed Webmaster, Tim Greer from Kobe University. We will be updating the site regularly from now on so make sure to check back as often as you can
Nara Conference
This year's national JALT conference will be held at Tezukayama University in Nara from November 19th to 21st. Since it is a holiday weekend and there is a major medical conference scheduled in Nara at the same time, SIG members are encouraged to make hotel reservations as soon as possible.
New Mailing List
The SIG's previous mailing list which was served through a Yahoo Group has been increasingly difficult to maintain in recent months. To coincide with the opening of the new website, we have decided create a new mailing list using different software. Please take the opportunity to register on the new list.
