There is no particular official conference hotel, but if you are coming from out of town we recommend that you book a hotel in either the Sannomiya or Shin-Kobe regions.

Where are the hotels in relation to the conference venue?

The campus is located in the suburb of Rokko in Nada Ward. The most convenient train stations are Rokko (on the Hankyu line) and Rokko-michi (on the JR line). Both of these are a short ride from Sannomiya, the central downtown district of Kobe. If you are coming from Kansai Airport, the bus will drop you in Sannomiya.

There is also a bus line from the Shin-Kobe area to the campus. Shin-Kobe is close to the Shinkansen (bullet train) if you are arriving from within Japan. It is located about 10 to 15 min walk from Sannomiya, in a quieter part of town.

The harborland area is close to the bay and to tourist attractions, but is not as convenient for commuting to the conference.
