VISA exemption and application

Visas are not required for those from 62 countries and regions for short term stays for such purposes as sightseeing and business trips.

People from other than these 62 countries and regions must apply for a visa in their home country well before the date they arrive in Japan.

Please consult the instructions on the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) website and contact the conference organizers if you certain documents issued by the conference. Please keep in mind that it takes a few weeks for issuing a visa.

The organizing committee is happy to provide those who have been accepted to present with an official letter of invitation, but we regret we are unable to provide a letter of guarantee except in cases where we know the applicant personally.

We cannot provide visa assistance for people who are not presenting at the conference.
